Rawlings Cup Tryouts
Hi SJP Families,
This year, the Expos will be hosting two ID camps for the 16U and 14U Rawlings Cup Teams. This process has been put in place this year in order to showcase the top talent from Edmonton.
The Rawlings Cup is a showcase tournament presented by Baseball Alberta that highlights the top 14U and 16U baseball athletes in the province. Athletes will compete in front of Baseball Alberta scouts for selection to the Western Canada Prospects Series (August 29 to September 1, 2025), which serves as a pathway to the Baseball Canada Cup and other high-performance opportunities.

Rawlings Cup Tournament: Thursday to Sunday, August 21-24, 2025
Edmonton 16U ID Camps
- For AA, AAA, BAEL players born in 2009 and 2010
Head Coach: CJ
Camp 1: July 21, 6-9pm at Callingwood Diamond
Camp 2: July 28: 6-9pm at Wally Footz Diamond
- We're aware July 28 is a potential rainout day for provincials, so we will adjust if needed.
- Please advise the evaluators if you're unable to pitch due to rest days.

Edmonton Expos 14U ID Camps
- For AA, AAA, BAEL players born in 2011 and 2012
Head Coach: Ethyn Ames
Camp 1: 6-9 pm, July 28 at Callingwood 15U Diamond
Camp 2: 6-9 pm, Aug 5 at Callingwood 15U Diamond

Team Selection Process
- Tryouts will be hosted by the Edmonton Expos (and Padres at 16U) and led by each team's Head Coach.
- The Expos Technical Director will supervise the evaluation process.
- Rosters will be selected based on athletic performance, positional needs, and team fit.
- No roster spots are guaranteed.
- Final roster size is at the discretion of the Head Coach.
